Seriously, DID YOU THINK I WAS THROUGH WITH THIS?

More evidence has been uncovered. Apparently Log Cabin Syrup is now a good justification to use in court for dissolution of a marriage. Or perhaps...ummmmm...alien abduction. Now that I think of it, I do recall hearing there was a section in Project Blue Book called "Log Cabin...alien love syrup?" Okay, now I'm just pullin' this stuff out of thin air.

  1. Now I have to get off the computer and go make pancakes.....

Seriously... how in the world did this advertising sell this stuff. But it did, apparently.

  2. So after the pancakes and syrup did you have an out of body experience?

The only thing I can figure out about these ads is that they were playing off some of the characters this illustrator did in his comic strip where he made fun of the upper crust. So there had to be an audience already built in. Otherwise people would have been running the other way.

  3. I'm so glad to see the aliens didn't take all the Log Cabin syrup - phew! I can see why they were so popular, I'm hooked and I've never even tasted Log Cabin Syrup!

  4. I'm sure you could find it in some ex-pat store over there. But seriously, don't go out of your way. Pure maple syrup is much better.
